MICHAEL FLOMEN - UNDER THE COVER OF DARKNESS
I heard about Michael Flomen via Stuart Maclean on his wonderful CBC show, The Vinyl Cafe(watch the video below to hear as he recounts his photogram experience with Flomen, whilst watching a gallery of Flomen's work.) I was instantly enchanted by the story and the amazingly novel idea to capture the essence of nature without actually taking it's picture... Flomen exposes the negatives using the light of fireflies, and that's only the beginning of his breathtaking work. Stuart Maclean can explain it much more enchantingly than I, so definitley watch that video!
